Mikhail Krichevsky dies

JTA reported on 5 January that. Mikhail Krichevsky had died at the end of December.

Krichevsky, who was the Ukraine's oldest known man, died in Donetzk two months shy of his 112th birthday. He is almost certainly the last Ukranian veteran of WWI. He may have served on the Austro-Hungarian Front.

Members of the Donetzk Jewish community attributed his longevity to his kindness, and mental and physical toughness.
